Anna goes on a yacht trip with a group that includes her lover Sandro and her best friend Claudia. As the yacht sails towards the Mediterranean Sea, Anna begins to question her feelings for her lover. Shortly after the yacht approaches an island, Anna mysteriously disappears. Sandro and Claudia begin to search for Anna, and a romance blossoms between them. With very little dialog, the movie draws its strength from the way the director tells the story and keeps the mystery in the movie. In this way, the movie maintains the tension and increases the tension as well as the love story. L'Avventura, one of Michelangelo Antonioni's most competent films, gives us the magnificent beauty of the Mediterranean with a black and white aesthetic.
