After what seemed like a trivial argument, Marta and Antonio break up. Marta reacts to the breakup by withdrawing into herself and the sudden loss of appetite. Antonio, a rising chef, throws himself into his work. When Marta discovers that her loss of appetite has more to do with her health than the pain of separation, everything changes for her: the taste of food, music, desire, the certainty of her choices. Isabel Coixet’s emotional drama is an adaptation of the autobiographical bestseller by Michele Murgia, and stars acclaimed Italian actors Alba Rohrwacher and Elio Germano. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.
