In a gigantic mansion in an elite district of Paris lies the dead body of the famous businessman Eugène Lamortier; around him are many curious characters, thinking about the identity of the murderer who has disappeared in a puff of smoke. The belief in Antoine Hercule De Potasse, the self-proclaimed detective whom no one knows, to solve the case is unfortunately very weak since the conclusion the detective has reached on the origins of the murder is not very promising: “I think the murderer killed him!”
A detective who tightens the knot even further instead of loosening it; a police commissaire who carries his cruelty like a badge of honour; a beautiful and mysterious wife; again, a beautiful but not so mysterious son of the murdered; folk songs from the province of Çorum and quarrels on the origins of yoghurt: this is a detective story full of incredible surprises.
Put aside all those detective stories where you ask yourself who the killer might be; just be prepared to laugh freely at the scene of the murder.
