Beyaz Geceler, yalnızlığın şiiri. Petersburg’un kalabalığı içindeki yalnızlığını hayallerinde avutmaya çalışan bir gençle, şehrin kenar mahallelerinde köhne bir eve sıkışıp kalmış bir genç kızın farkına varamadığı yalnızlığının kesiştiği noktada Dostoyevski; nin gençlik coşkusuyla yazdığı bir şiir.
