One of the most important playwrights of the Turkish Theater, Sabahattin Kudret Aksal's masterpiece of "absurd drama" "Kahvede Şenlik Var" (There's a Feast at the Kahvede), which is still timeless even though it was written half a century ago, continues to appeal to all times. And with all its fluidity... A couple who meet for the first time in a countryside café by the sea with the intention of getting married make an effort to get to know each other with the amusing guidance of the waiter, who can be called a kind of "jester". We take this controversial conversation, which wanders between the incompatibility of their genders, the roles of men and women determined by social rules, expectations from marriage, dreams and disappointments, with all its poetry and references to today's society. And of course, with a "festive" atmosphere worthy of a play...
