Bu quiz gecesi, alternatif müziğin bir nesli etkileyen iki yakın sahnesinin sesini, ruhunu ve belirleyici anlarını keşfe çıkıyor. 90’ların ortası ve sonundaki temellerden 2000’lerdeki yükselişe ve sonrasına uzanan bu yolculukta, pop-punk ve emo’nun şekillenmesinde önemli rol oynayan gruplar, sözler ve kültürel anlar ele alınıyor.

Green Day ve The Offspring gibi grupların erken dönem etkisinden Blink-182 ve Paramore’un yükselişine, My Chemical Romance ve Fall Out Boy’un duygusal yoğunluğuna uzanan sorular; ikonik şarkıları, albümleri ve sanatçıları kapsarken, aynı zamanda dikkatli dinleyicilerin fark edeceği küçük detaylara da yer veriyor.

Pub Quiz Nights continue at Yabangee Base in Cihangir, and on Wednesday 29 April the focus turns to Pop-Punk & Emo Essentials, hosted by Tarik.

This quiz night dives into the sound, attitude, and defining moments of two closely connected scenes that shaped a generation of alternative music. From the mid to late 90s foundations to the 2000s breakthroughs and beyond, the night moves through the bands, lyrics, and cultural touchpoints that defined pop-punk and emo.

Expect questions covering iconic tracks, albums, and artists, alongside the smaller details that dedicated listeners will recognize. From the early impact of Green Day and The Offspring to the rise of Blink-182 and Paramore, and the emotional intensity of My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, the quiz spans eras, subgenres, and scenes that continue to resonate.

Whether you grew up on these songs or still have them on repeat, there’s plenty here to put your knowledge to the test.

The night begins with doors opening at 19:30, giving everyone time to arrive, grab a drink, and settle in. Trivia starts at 20:30 sharp and will wrap up around 21:30–22:00. Entry is free, and your ticket also includes access to the Pop-Punk & Emo Night after-party, where the music continues into the late hours.
