A woman who enters her fortieth year in London, far away from her country... In a two-roomed, temporarily rented house, she opens her eyes with the first light of the day that morning. Is it because her cancer, as stubborn as she is, does not let her sleep comfortably? Is it because the speed of life, which she cannot restrain in spite of death, has taken over her? Or is it because the characters she writes haunt her between sleep and wakefulness? If this woman is Sevgi Soysal, there is no single answer to these questions because there are many possibilities.
Sevgi Soysal, who loves multiplication and is never afraid of it, embarks on a journey into both her own past and the history of the country between the pages of the books in the mysterious package she received. While remembering friendship, comradeship, love, insistence, stubbornness, rebellion, absence, abundance, persecution, joy, laughter and ridicule on this journey from the 25th to the 50th year of the Republic, she will always be on the brink of death, but she will never stop walking. While remembering how a woman grows up and how a country is transformed, her path will always pass through the truth.
