İngiliz sinema oyuncusu ve yönetmen.
Tim Roth, 14 Mayıs1961 tarihinde, Londra’da, ressam bir anne ve gazeteci bir babanın oğlu olarak dünyaya geldi. Önceleri heykeltıraş olmak isteyen Roth, Londra’da Camberwell Sanat Okulu’na gitti. Bir süre sonra aktörlüğü denemeye karar vererek ilk deneyimini, “Made in Britain” adlı bir televizyon filminde ırkçı bir dazlak rolüyle 18 yaşında kazandı. Sonrasında, adı ve görünümü dolayısıyla Yahudi rollerine uygun görüldü. 1984 yılında, Stephen Frears’ın “The Hit”inde, bir katil çırağı rolüyle dikkatleri çekti. Bu filmin ardından, 80’lerde birçok filmde daha boy gösterdi. 1990’lara gelindiğinde, Roth, Robert Altman’ın “Vincent and Theo” adlı filminde Vincent Van Gogh rolüyle ve Tom Stoppard’ın “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead” adlı filmindeki rolüyle uluslararası bir üne kavuştu.
