Şöhret ya da ünlü olmak birçok insan için çekici olsa da, çocuk yaşta ünlü olan bireylerin bu şöhretin baskısıyla nasıl hissettiği, çocukluk ertesinde film dünyasından ayrıldıktan sonraki psikolojik durumları genellikle göz ardı ediliyor. Bu belgesel, çocuk yıldızların ergenlik dönemine geçişlerini, bu süreçte yaşadıkları travmaları, mesleğe devam etme konusunda karşılaştıkları zorlukları, ailelerin tutumunu ve toplum içindeki algılarını, bilimsel bir bakış açısıyla uzman psikolog görüşleriyle ele alıyor.

While fame and celebrity are appealing to many people, the psychological state of individuals who become famous at a young age, how they feel under the pressure of fame, and their psychological state after leaving the film world once their childhood ends are often overlooked. This documentary examines the transition of child stars to adolescence, the traumas they experience during this process, the difficulties they face in continuing their careers, the attitudes of their families, and their perceptions in society from a scientific perspective with the opinions of expert psychologists.

Burak Gülgen, 1978 yılında İstanbul’da doğdu. Kamera karşısına ilk kez beş yaşında babası Melih Gülgen’in yönettiği “Bedel” adlı sinema filminde geçti. 1983-1989 yılları arasında çocuk yıldız olarak 11 filmde rol aldı. 1990’lı yıllarda eğitimine ağırlık verdi ve 1999’da oyunculuğa geri döndü. Kamera arkası daha cazip geldiği için reji, kurgu, müzik gibi farklı alanlarda asistanlık yapmaya başladı. 2001’de Almanya’da “Karamuk” adlı sinema filminde oynadı. İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi Sahne ve Gösteri Sanatları Yönetimi’nin yanı sıra Sinema TV bölümünde öğrenciyken kısa filmler çekmeye başladı. Mezuniyet sonrası, yapım koordinatörlüğü de dahil olmak üzere dublaj, kurgu, film müziği alanlarında tecrübe kazandı. Konser, klip, belgesel, drama-belgesel, tanıtım, reklam, TV filmleri ve diziler gibi çok çeşitli projelere yönetmen olarak imza attı.

Burak Gülgen was born in Istanbul in 1978. He first appeared before cameras at the age of five in the movie "Bedel" directed by his father Melih Gülgen. He appeared in 11 movies as a child star between the years 1983-1989. In the 1990s he focused on his education and returned to acting in 1999. As behind the camera appealed to him more, he started working as an assistant in various areas like directing, editing, and music. In 2001, he played in the movie "Karamuk" in Germany. While he was a student in the Stage and Performing Arts

Management, and Cinema TV departments at Istanbul Bilgi University, he started making short films. After graduation, he gained experience in areas such as dubbing, editing, film music, and production coordinatorship. He has directed many projects of concerts, music videos, documentaries, drama-documentaries, commercials, TV films and series.
